Château Juliette’s Values

AuthenticitY

Many of the vines at Château Juliette are 100 years old or more. Harvesting by hand at the optimal maturity, sorting and vinifying the grapes in separate vats allows the terroir to express itself displaying the true fruity flavours of the grapes.

TypicitY

The ‘terroir’ (or land) here in our region is widely known for producing some of the best Grenaches in the world. Chateau Juliette’s vineyards are naturally low yielding maximizing the fruits potential, and planted on sloping land to allow good drainage and limit disease.

Complexity

In order to achieve bountiful and complex wines, Chateau Juliette vinifies each plot separately in stainless steel vats. Each vat is vinified differently depending on the type of wine being produced. A percentage of the wines are aged in varying types of wooden barrels such as acacia and French oak for the whites, and International oaks such as American and French for the reds. The barrelled wines are tasted daily to ensure that the woody flavours enhance the wines and do not hide the fruit.

ELEgance

After fermentation and aging, an intensive blending with a team of professional oenologists takes place. The harmony of the elements such as the acidity, alcohol and tannins are the composition of a great balanced wine. The complex work of blending is highly prioritized at Chateau Juliette to maximize the expression of the wine. It enhances the aromas, colour, texture, body and finish, creating the desired structure and flavour.
