AOP Côtes du Rhône

Red wine

Introduction: Follow the river! Along the length of its winding waters and gentle banks, Côtes du Rhône vineyards thrive across 171 rich and varied terroirs and vineyards, all bathed in the same bountiful sun. The vineyards of AOC Côtes du Rhône work in harmony with a single same aim: to give you the best wines, from culture to assembly. And one thing is sure: the wines of this AOC are predominantly red, and all of them are generous, fine, pleasant, and spiced.

Colour: Red

Grape varieties:  Grenache (55 %), Syrah (35 %), Cinsault (5 %), Carignan (5 %).

Soil type:  Limestone and clay

Vinification: Traditional vinification of 15 days, at controlled temperature. With reassembly and shedding

Ageing: Aged in French oak 3-6 months

Alcoholic level: 14%

TASTING NOTES

Robe: Deep robe, dark garnet

Aromas: Fruity (blackcurrant, cherry, red fruits and violet).

Mouth:  A lively wine with marked red fruit notes and rounded smooth tannins for pure tasting pleasure. A rich, generous wine, typical of the best Côtes-du-Rhône.

Service temperature: 16°C à 18°C

Serving suggestion: Cold meats, BBQ, charcuterie and soft cheeses.

Ageing potential: 5 to 6 years
